    Does the school year start too soon?
     Yes. It keeps getting earlier and earlier. Starting at the 1st of August makes no sense. The early start interrupts too many traditional summer activities.
     I'm not a big fan of the early start, but 180 days is 180 days. I'd prefer a later start, but it's not a big deal to me.
     The start times now are just right. It helps with test scores, it allows for semester breaks to hit at the first of the year, and it gets kids out earlier in the Spring to get a jump start on summer activities.
     I like the earlier starts, but they are just the first step. I'd like to see schools move to more of a year round calendar.
