'17 Bodies Found' Web Hoax Spreads Through the Tristate

We're still waiting for an update on the human leg discovered in the Ohio River in Henderson.

Meanwhile, a fake version of this story is making its rounds on the internet, and you may have seen it.

The headline reads "At least 17 bodies found in Ohio River near Henderson, Kentucky." The article makes comparisons to the TV show Dexter and how this could have been the work of a serial killer.

The website is obviously not a creditable news source, as it quotes people in law enforcement who do not exist.

Again, the only truth involving a body in the water is a human leg discovered on July fourth.

The medical examiner is still working on identifying the remains.
