AIG is expanding its cyber insurance offerings to cover property damage and bodily injury.

The company says the physical risk of a cyber attack to property and people is very real and researchers agree.

Scientists accessed control systems for electronics like heart rate monitors, traffic lights and home security systems.

If someone were to tinker with any of those systems it could cause physical harm to an individual.

Although cyber security insurance is a relatively new phenomenon, many companies are adding it to their policies.
