The Kentucky Public Service Commission gave the okay for the utility to increase its revenue $8.5 millions. That equals about $16 extra each month for customers.
The amount okayed was almost $5 million less than it requested. Atmos raised rates to the requested amount in January. But since the increase granted was less than the request, the utility must refund the extra amount collected.
