Derrick Armstead will likely be a very old man when, or if he ever gets out of prison.

A Posey Superior Court judge sentenced him to 74 years in prison. This means Armstead will be 78 before he is eligible to be released.

A jury previously found Armstead guilty of several charges. Including: attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of two men at the Twin Lakes Mobile Home Park.

Armstead claimed self defense, but the jury disagreed.
