A Southern Indiana legislator is calling it quits.
Democrat Kreg Battles of Vincennes has resigned his seat in the legislature. Battles has represented the Vincennes area in the State House since 2006. Battles cited the desire to spend more time with his family as the reason he is resigning. Battles had signed up to run for re-election this year, but he says he will not do that either. Democrats will have the option to appoint someone to run in his place in November.
