Recipients are selected based on the their commitment to workforce training programs along with their strong partnership with Ivy Tech. Berry Plastics has worked with Ivy Tech to train and develop employees through their apprenticeship programs.

"We're really concerned about the shortage of high skilled and middle skilled workers across the state," said Ivy Tech President Tom Snyder. "I'm part of the career council. This is a bench mark program that we can show other companies all across Indiana."

"The relationship between Ivy Tech and Berry Plastics is continuing to educate our employees," said Mike White of Berry Plastics, "and continuing to drive a more technical workforce."
