Body Recovered from Daviess Co. Lake

The body of a Louisville man was recovered this morning in Daviess County, Indiana.

The body of 25-year-old Jacob l. Duncan was found in Dogwood Lake on the Glendale Fish and Wildlife area. Investigators tell us Duncan was camping with friends in Glendale last night, when he and another man went for a boat ride. We're told the boat sank, and the two were separated.

Duncan's friend was rescued by a nearby camper and taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia. Indiana Conservation officers found Duncan's body around 9 a.m. this morning about 30 feet from where the boat was found.

An autopsy is scheduled for today. Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the incident.

We're told the investigation will be turned over to the Daviess County Prosecutor's Office.

The Daviess County Coroner tells us the autopsy revealed that the cause of death of Jacob L. Duncan was drowning.
They are still waiting on toxicology to know more.
