The Gibson County Coroner reports blunt force trauma killed the man who was in a coal mine accident yesterday.

The Gibson County Coal Company in Princeton says 41 year-old Timothy Memmer was doing underground maintenance work when there was “an unexpected movement of the equipment.”

The State Bureau of Mines says this was the second coal mining death in Indiana in the past five years.
