A school uses blankets to show support for a sick classmate, and what a showing it was.

Cedar Hall 7th grader Devon Kobie is undergoing treatment for cancer, his second battle with the disease. He's been at Riley's Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

Now, students at Cedar Hall have been making no-sew blankets to be donated to Riley's. And Devon got first pick, an Avengers Superhero blanket. He says something as simple as a blanket helps more than people realize.

"The blankets are really going to help the kids out at Riley," said Devon, "because they always get cold because of the chemo. That's one of the side effects from it. So, the blankets are really going to help out a lot."

Three winners were chosen at the assembly, and those students received prizes.

Devon said it felt great to be back, but he will be heading back to Riley's for more treatment.
