Dozens of people are hurt after an eight-car commuter train plows across a platform in Chicago.

Fortunately none of those injuries were considered life-threatening.

This happened underneath one of the busiest airports in the nation. The blue line commuter train derailed then scaled an escalator at Chicago O'Hare International.

Investigators are reviewing security footage and interviewing the driver to pin down the cause of the accident.

The train appeared to have been going too fast as it approached the end-of-line station and didn't stop at a bumping post, which is a metal shock absorber at the end of the tracks.
