It's been nearly three months since record rain fall hit the Tristate, leading to many closed roads and one of those roads is still closed today.

Trapp Road in northern Vanderburgh County was closed due to a section of the shoulder being washed away into the drainage ditch below.
While it's just a small paved road between fields of crops, nearby residents say the road is vital to getting around.

Bill Luigs says, "For me, as a farmer, I need to get down here to my field and get down here to my crops. I think it's beneficial to other people around here, too. They use this road."

We contacted Vanderburgh County Engineer John Stoll to see when Trapp Road will be opened.
He said the highway department will be making the repairs, but there is no timetable set as to when repairs will begin.
