The U.S. Supreme Court returned the decision today to hold up Robert Keith Woodall's original death sentence. He pleaded guilty back in 1998 to kidnapping, raping and killing 16 year old Sarah Hansen of Greenville, KY. He was sentenced to death, but in 2009 a federal judge ruled Woodall should have a new sentencing hearing because of a mistake in jury instructions. Today, the U.S. justices ruled there will not be a new sentencing hearing and Woodall will remain on death row.
