Crash Occurs During Governor's Motorcycle Ride

Four motorcyclists crash on their way to the last stop of the annual Governor’s Motorcycle Ride in Scott County.

500 riders were heading towards Madison, Indiana when a crash occurred around 4 p.m.

According to ISP, 62 year-old Brenda Lynch ran off of the roadway on the right side and crashed. 66 year-old Larry Lahue ran off the roadway on the right side and crashed. Investigators believed Lahue ran off the road by locking up his brakes after Lynch crashed.

70 year-old James Thomas told investigators he ran off the roadway on the right side of the road and crashed. Investigators say he told them he was not trying to avoid the other motorcycles, but trying to make the turn.

60 year-old John Herr hit Thomas' motorcycle that was in the roadway after the crash.

Lynch, Lahue, and Thomas were taken to University of Louisville Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say Herr was not injured.
