Six fire departments battle a series of brush fires along a major road in Ohio County today.

Emergency management officials say it started around 3:30 p.m. along railroad tracks near Highway 62.

Officials say a train passing through may have started the fires, which stretched from McHenry to Fort Branch.

Authorities say visibility was limited for much of the afternoon and an abandoned house caught fire.
