Bottle rockets, badges, and sun tans mean hundreds of tristate scouts took advantage of the great weather today.

More than 400 Cub Scouts along with nearly a hundred volunteers took part in the Buffalo Trace Council's Day Camp.
It's a three day camp held at the Eykamp Center on the State Hospital grounds off of Lincoln ave.

This year's theme: A Space Odyssey.
Among the scouts, stormtroopers, jedi, and trekkies were on hand.

Day camp Director Jason Hardgrave says the kids get to have a good time while learning valuable lessons.
The camp ends tomorrow, starting bright and early at 8 a.m. and running till 3:30p.m.
