The $37,000 donation was made possible by D-Patrick. Leaders of the non-profit say the vehicle will help commute patients and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House around town.
The executive director says it will also help give them access to health care services.
"Our goal, these are families who have children that are facing incredible medical difficulties," said Jeremy M. Evans. "Our goal is to take as many burdens off their hands as we can, while they stay with us."
The van was especially modelled with the logo and colors of the Ronald McDonald House. It also comes equipped with an added convenience, an electric door.
