Drone Being Donated To Warrick County Sheriff's Office

-

An anonymous company is donating a drone to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Brett Kruse said he got a call this morning from the company. He said the company will provide the technology and software to go along with the drone.

Kruse said the eye in the sky will be used to search for missing people and to fight crime. He said the department is currently researching state laws regarding drones.

According to Kruse, the drone will arrive in a couple weeks.

There is also a GoFundMe campaign raising money for another drone for local law enforcement.

Drones from a private company were used to look for Kristy Kelley earlier this week. There is another search for Kelley scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers are asked to meet at Studio Bee in Boonville.
