About thirty members of the Evansville Fire Department who responded to Monday’s deadly fire met to discuss the department’s response Saturday afternoon.

EFD District Chief Robert Alexander, who was the scene commander Monday, said they discussed the situation, if any improvements could’ve been made and the department’s coordination with other agencies. He also said they talked about the emotional toll of a deadly fire.

Twenty-eight-year-old Keri Jones, her 3-year-old daughter Jazmine and 76-year-old Donald Lankford died in the blaze. Four other people and six first responders were hurt.

Christopher Compton was formally charged Thursday with three counts of murder and 10 counts of arson. He also faces a charge of being an habitual offender.
