Another step forward in the effort to save what was once the largest high school gymnasium in the country.

The Anderson School Board voted to transfer ownership of the 9,000 seat Wigwam to the City of Anderson, Indiana.

The city has a potential buyer.

The school board is giving developers 14 days to secure financing for the project or it will begin the process to demolishing the historic structure.
