Family and friends gathered to remember Jessica Tice and to raise awareness for domestic violence Thursday. Tice was murdered by the father of one of her children in the parking lot of Los Aztecas in Princeton on May 22, 2013.
Rita Dougan, Tice’s mother, along with other family and friends, stood outside three restaurants in Princeton to collect money for the Albion Fellows Bacon Center, an organization working to eliminate domestic and sexual violence.
Dougan now has custody of Tice’s three children. She said the drive helped keep them from dwelling on what happened last year.
