FDA Raises the Risk of Tanning Beds

Some sticker shock under sunlamps. The Food and Drug Administration has reclassified tanning beds as a moderate risk from low risk.

It's also requiring all salons to post labels on beds that say you must be 18 or older to use one. That's not a law nationwide, but one in Indiana and Illinois.

Indoor tanning is known to potentially cause skin cancer.
