Five Injured in Spencer County Accident

A driver fails to stop causing a car crash injuring five people.

22 year-old Farah Smith of Grandview was driving east on SR 66 near CR 275 West when she drove through the red light and struck a black truck driven by 39  year-old Jonathan Gunn from Rockport.

Gunn was driving south on CR 275 and turning on SR 66 near Spencer County High School, according to Indiana State Police.

ISP say Smith’s SUV pushed Gunn's truck off the roadway and into a ditch on the southeast corner of the intersection.

26 year-old Andrew Smith, 3 year-olds Riley and Aden Smith  were also in the SUV. They were taken by ambulance to Owensboro Health.

Gunn was also taken to Owensboro Health.
