Former UE Basketball Player Arrested

A former basketball player at the University of Evansville faces theft and burglary charges.

Authorities say he broke into one of the buildings on campus and also a concession stand.
20 year-old James 'Tyler' Ptacek was arrested on April 27 after police followed a trail of blood to his dorm room.

Investigators say he had injured himself during the break-in and left lots of blood evidence behind.
Officers say it appeared he was trying to take snack food.

Ptacek announced earlier this month that he had planned to transfer from UE but hasn't done so yet.
