We are less than a day away from learning where a new Indiana University Medical School will be built.

IU's Board of Trustees will decide tomorrow if the school will locate near the USI campus, be built downtown in the area from Locust to Cherry and 4th St. to 6th St., or on the city's east side off Burkhardt Rd., or in Warrick County near Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

A committee meets in Bloomington at 7 a.m. CST tomorrow and will recommend a site to the trustees. The trustees will then meet at noon to take the official vote.

Evansville city officials will hold a viewing party, starting at 11:45 a.m. in the Atrium of Old National's Main St. headquarters.

We will have a link to the streaming announcement on the main page of our website. We will also have coverage from Bloomington starting on Eyewitness News Daybreak and from downtown Evansville as the decision is announced.
