A former Greenville Police officer faces charges stemming from an incident.

Greenville Police Chief Darren Harvey says Officer Ben Aders stepped down this week. He's facing third degree sexual abuse and official misconduct charges.

Harvey says it stems from a citizen complaint filed against the now former officer. Aders was with the department for less than a year.

Muhlenberg County Sheriffs deputies are still investigating.
