Gun violence was one topic of conversation at this month’s traveling city hall in Evansville.
About thirty people met with city and county representatives Wednesday evening. Amy Harbinson said she tries to attend the meetings every month, but went Wednesday specifically to speak with the Evansville Police Department about crime in Evansville and the violence in Ferguson, Mo. She said she wanted to know how EPD would handle a similar situation.
Earlier today, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced a series of community conversations that will address many topics, including crime.
The first meeting is at the Boys and Girls Club on Sept. 15th.
