New data released by the Department of Education today shows Indiana graduation rates remained steady in 2013. The overall graduation rate for all Indiana schools was 88.6 percent, compared to 88.7 the previous year.

Evansville's Signature School, which has a relatively low enrollment of around 330 students, was among those leading the pack. The charter school was one of only six Indiana public schools to achieve a 100 percent graduation rate in 2013.

"It's a real source of pride for me," says Eyob Moges, a junior at Signature School. "I mean, I see everyone working hard and it's one of those moments where you put in a lot of work and you see it come to fruition. You see the results that come from it."

The distinction comes on the heels of major national recognition. The Washington Post recently named Signature School the sixth most challenging high school in the country.

"We're all pushing each other to go that extra step so we can get the grades and make sure Signature is on the top of their game," says junior student Amira Morgan. "Not just for Signature but for ourselves."

Southwestern Indiana's North Daviess High School also delivered a 100 percent graduation rate.
