Indiana High Schools More Flexible in Hiring Teachers

Landing a job in education gets easier in Indiana. High schools are using more flexibility in hiring applicants with professional experience.

This is through a modified teacher certification known as the "Career Specialist License." It's similar to requirements for Career and Technical Education Staff, who specialize in a professional occupation.

To qualify, applicants must have 6,000 hours of experience in the subject they would teach.
