Indiana Senate Passes Gun Buy-Back Legislation

The Indiana Senate passes a bill sponsored by a Tri-State lawmaker that would eliminate gun buy-back programs across the state.

If adopted, this new bill would allow law enforcement to auction off seized firearms instead of the current practice of destroying them.

State Senator Jim Tomes from Wadesville is sponsoring the legislation. He says the current system is wasteful. Opponents argue all this does it put more guns on the street.

The bill now moves to the full House for approval.
