Jury Finds Covington Guilty in Attempted Murder Trial

- A jury finds an Evansville man guilty in an attempted murder trial.

22-year-old Todd Covington, Jr. is convicted of attempted murder, robbery resulting in bodily injury, and criminal confinement.

Covington and 24-year-old Lanico Payne are accused of robbing and shooting Demetrius Fingers several times in March.

Vanderburgh County Magistrate Kelli Fink will hear arguments regarding Covington's habitual offender charges then sentence him on June 20. If found guilty, he could face 50 to 80 years in prison.
