Kentucky Delays Same-Sex Marriage Order

A federal judge agrees to delay his order requiring Kentucky to recognize same-sex marriages from outside the commonwealth.

The Lexington herald reports the US District Judge John Heyburn the second says the state has until March 20th to decide whether to appeal the order.

The judge says he's reluctant to extend Kentucky's policy prohibiting recognition of gay marriages.

He says he doesn't want to create confusion for couples who may try to seek full legal rights, before the state decides its next move.
