A state representative from western Kentucky faces criminal charges.

A Franklin County grand jury indicted State Representative Ben Waide on two counts of violating campaign finance laws.

The indictment claims Waide took an improper 10,000 dollar campaign contribution from Liberty Rehabilitation, a company he partially owns.

It also claims Waide submitted 6,000 dollars in reimbursements to his campaign for expenses he did not incur.

Waide is a republican lawmaker from the Madisonville area.
