Labor Day Gas Prices Could be the Lowest in Years

Millions of people are hitting the road to start their labor day weekend and drivers are getting a  break this year.Gas prices this labor day weekend could be the lowest in years.The current national average is $3.41  per gallon;18 cents less than last year and 42 cents lower than 2012's record high. Crude oil prices have fallen around the globe despite turmoil in the Middle East and Russia.With more oil being produced in the U.S.;global troubles aren't having as big of an impact on oil prices. and that's good news for drivers.Gas prices started falling in July and are expected to keep sliding through November.In the tristate; Evansville gas prices were averaging $3.21 this morning, but is now $3.29 per gallon.In Henderson  it's $3.23 and in Owensboro you'll pay $3.25 per gallon.
