The senate passes legislation that would place a question on the November ballot that asks voters if they want to raise the Illinois minimum wage to ten dollars an hour.
The bill passed the Illinois house and now heads to Governor Pat Quinn's desk.
The governor says he believes raising the minimum wage will benefit workers all over the state and will eventually boost economic growth.
