Bounce TV, since its September 2011 national launch, has featured programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original programming and more.
Bounce TV, a digital over-the-air network combined with special local Eyewitness News produced programming will air twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The new to Evansville Television market station will feature a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original programming and more. Martin Luther King III and Ambassador Young are part of Bounce TV’s Founding Group and Board of Directors.
Live sports, local program specials, and events are also be part of the Bounce TV schedule and the network has a multi-year rights agreement with Urban Sports Entertainment Group (USEG) to televise both football and basketball games from the nation’s largest African American athletic conference, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA.) Locally, Bounce TV Evansville will expand on Local 7, WTVW’s deep tradition of providing local sports and program specials.
VP General Manager of the Nexstar Evansville Operations Arika Zink, said “Our team is thrilled to be able of add to our service of the community. We are excited about bringing Bounce to theTriState. And, we are delighted to be able to make this exciting announcement this evening at Evansville’s very own African American Museum.”
Evansville African American Museum Executive Director Lu Porter said, “ I would like to thank Channel 25 & WTVW 7 for bringing the first African American Network to the community. I am very happy to be a part of this new adventure!”
