American Airlines to Upgrade Service Between Dallas and Evansville

Evansville Regional Airport has announced that American Airlines is upgrading its service to Dallas from Evansville.

Starting in April, the airport's Dallas weekday flights and one Saturday flight will be served with a CRJ-900 aircraft.

The CRJ has an additional 26 seats than the one currently offered.

That adds about 30,000 extra seats to the market annually.

Airport officials say the larger jet was a result of customer demand, and if the trend continues, they could potentially add more.

American Airlines began flights between Dallas and Evansville in 2005.
