Authorities Allegedly Find Illegal Drugs in Man's Home After Shots Fired Report

Authorities in Daviess County, Kentucky said they found illegal drugs in a man's home after they determined he had been firing a gun in his yard.

Deputies with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2900 block of Highway 142 on Sunday after reports of gunshots in the area.

Once they arrived, authorities said they determined 37-year-old Joseph Clark had been firing a gun in his yard.

Authorities then realized that Clark was a convicted felon and he is not allowed to possess a firearm.

Clark was detained while the Deputies obtained a search warrant for his home. A friend staying at the home was also arrested on an unrelated warrant, according to authorities.

When the search warrant was executed, authorities said they found several items indicating illegal drug possession, use, and trafficking.

Authorities said they discovered a handgun as well.

All the items were seized by the Deputies, detectives, and Kentucky State Police Troopers.

Clark was taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.

Clark is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking marijuana, possessing/buying drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a forged instrument, three counts of possessing a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
