Building Permits Approved for Planned Owensboro Apartments

Plans to turn an old buggy factory into apartments in Owensboro are taking another step forward.

Officials with the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission say building permits were approved for work on the Old Kentucky Buggy building.

It's located at the intersection of E Ninth St. and J.R. Miller Blvd.

Developers from Kansas plan to turn the building into 29 apartments.

There's currently no word on when construction will start, but officials say it could start sometime next year.
