Charles Herron Appears in Court Thursday

The Evansville man accused of killing his wife appeared in court on Thursday.

A magistrate judge found probable cause to hold Charles Herron on a preliminary murder charge.

Herron is accused of shooting his wife Amber Herron in the head Tuesday in their car outside their East Oregon Street home.

Herron appeared by video on Thursday.

When asked if he understood his rights, Herron said quote, “I don't understand any of it.”

Herron's next appearance is August 8.

Funeral services for Amber Herron will be held at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel at 10 a.m. on August 7.
