Company's Bankruptcy Halts Multiple Tri-State Construction Projects

The bankruptcy of an Evansville construction company has halted projects across the Tri-State.

Peyronnin Construction filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy this week.

The company was working on several projects, including the new International Bluegrass Music Center in Owensboro.

Work is on hold as the search begins for a new contractor.

The Music Center is scheduled to open in spring of 2018.

Officials say it could take up to three months to find a new contractor, but it should still be done next year.

The company was also working on a regional water treatment plant in McLean County, Kentucky and a new tech center at Owensboro Community and Technical College.
