Coroner: Deniko Scott Died from Single Gunshot Wound

Wednesday, Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear said that an autopsy was completed on Deniko Scott.

The autopsy determined that Scott died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

The death will be ruled a homicide by the coroner's office.

The Evansville Police Department is continuing its investigation.

On Tuesday, the coroner identified Scott as the victim of a shooting in the 400 block of South Morton Ave.

Scott graduated from Harrison High School in 2013 where he was a standout for the Warriors boys basketball team.
