Crash Involving Two Semi Trucks Closes Lloyd Expressway

A crash is keeping crews extremely busy in Vanderburgh County Thursday morning.

Around 5:00 AM, two semi trucks collided on the westbound Lloyd Expressway near Boehne Camp Road.

Two people in one of the trucks were trapped for nearly an hour before being freed and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says both are expected to survive.

The westbound portion of the road is completely is down to one lane as debris litters a stretch of the road. The sheriff's office expects to have the road re-opened around 9:00 AM. 

Both trucks are still at the scene as investigators try to figure out exactly what happened.
