Daviess County Man Dies After Car Overturns In Lake

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office said alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that killed a 21-year-old Sunday morning.

According to deputies a Porsche Boxster was going west on Highway 60 East near Maceo when it went off the road near the intersection of Highway 231. The car went through a fence, hit trees, and eventually ended up in a lake.

The sheriff's office said shortly after the accident at 4:00 AM, first responders got the passenger, Cody Glover, out of the car, and rushed him to the hospital where passed away.

The Daviess County Coroner reported Glover's cause of death as drowning.

18-year-old Robert Garner was the driver of the car, according to the sheriff's office. He only suffered minor injuries.

Deputies believe alcohol and speed may have been a factor in the crash.
