DCSD: Jasper Man Rolls Vehicle on SR 64, Arrested for OWI

About 2 a.m. on Sunday, Dubois County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a vehicle accident on SR 64.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Adam Buchta, was standing against his car off the south side of the roadway.

After they questioned Buchta, authorities say they determined that Buchta was traveling westbound on SR 64 when he apparently fell asleep and drove his vehicle off the south side of the roadway into a ditch, where the car rolled over on its top, and came to rest upside down, facing south.

Deputies say Buctha showed signs of intoxication while on the scene, and after several field sobriety tests, he was transported to Henderson Police Department for a chemical breath test where he tested .083% blood alcohol content.

Authorities say that Buchta was booked on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated, and was taken to The Dubois County Security Center.

It appears that he has since bonded out.
