Dog Reunited with Owners Thanks to Microchip Readers

A missing Illinois pet has been reunited with his family and it's all thanks to newly acquired microchip readers at the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office.

A Darmstadt family found Tuscy in their yard Saturday. The name is short for Tuscaloosa.

The family didn't know who Tuscy's owners were but the sheriff's office had something that came in handy, a microchip reader.

Tuscy lives in Crossville, Illinois. He received a scar in last month's tornado.

Tuscy's owners were pretty excited to be reunited with him on Sunday.

Monday night on Eyewitness News at 10, we'll be talking with Tuscy's family.
