The Dubois County Sheriff's Department said a call of an out of control juvenile turned into an arrest Wednesday, when they found a closet converted into a "lockable cage".
Dubois County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alan Friz just after 10:45 AM after searching a home on West County Road 700 in Huntingburg.
Deputies called in assistance from the Dubois County Office of Family and Children services shortly after starting the search.
Deputies said they found a closet area of a bedroom that had been converted into a cage where the child was kept for extended periods of time. Dubois County deputies also said they were told the juvenile was locked inside the closet at night and possible other times.
Friz is charged with felony neglect of a dependent and criminal confinement.
Hours after Friz was arrested, deputies arrest his wife, Aimee Friz, on the same charges as her husband. A mug shot of Aimee Friz was not immediately available.
