EVSC elementary teacher suspended, accused of child molestation

Vanderburgh County Sheriff Wedding announced the arrest of an elementary school teacher on Friday.

Justin Wolf, a Scott Elementary School teacher, is accused of child molestation.

He's facing a level 4 felony charge.

Scott Elementary School's website lists Wolf as a third grade teacher.

According to his bio, he graduated from USI in 2016 and this was his second year teaching at Scott Elementary.

Authorities said the alleged victim is a Scott Elementary student.

Authorities also said the alleged incident happened at school during regular hours.

Wolf is now out on bond. 

EVSC released this updated statement:

"We acknowledge the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office for their diligent work in the arrest and investigation of Justin Wolf. We will follow due process according to state law regarding his employment status. He is immediately suspended without pay and is banned from all school corporation premises pending a formal recommendation to the school board. The EVSC is fully committed to supporting the students, staff and parents of the entire Scott School community as we move forward during this very difficult time."

Parents attended a meeting at the Sheriff's Office Jail and Administration building on Saturday afternoon. Parents were given information regarding how best to speak to their child regarding issues of sexual abuse and had the opportunity to have their questions answered by a Sheriff's Office detective.
