EPD Busts Alleged Meth Operation

Evansville police have busted another alleged meth dealing operation.

Detectives were investigating at a home on Olive Street. Police stopped a car leaving the house where a man said he just smoked meth there.

Officers arrested three people inside the house. Police say Britteny Winters told them she was selling a few ounces of meth a day.

Upon execution of a search warrant, authorities say the following items were discovered:

  • Two drug ledgers, one located in Winters' purse, the other located in the back seat of a car
  • $411 located on Winters' person
  • $16 located in Winters' purse
  • Hide-A-Can located in the bedroom on a desk
  • iPhone located on the bed
  • Meth pipe with residue located on a nightstand
  • Meth pipe located in an ashtray
  • 4 plastic baggies that each contained a crystal substance testing positive for meth weighing 12.1 grams
  • A plastic baggy containing a green, leafy substance that tested positive for THC weighing .9 grams found in the bathroom closet
  • A digital scale with residue located in the basement
  • A plastic baggy containing a green, leafy substance that tested positive for THC weighing 1.7 grams found in a safe
  • A box of new syringes located in a safe
  • A digital video recorder system found in the bedroom
  • Several other pipes also located throughout the home

Winters' boyfriend Justin Hill and another man, Jerry McCandless were also arrested.

Winters has since been released.
