EPD: Meth Found After Officers Called to Residence for Report of Physical Altercation

An Evansville man was charged with meth possession after officers were called out to his property in reference to a reported physical altercation at the residence.

When officers arrived, they said Christopher Gilmore answered the door after several knocks.

When asked why he did not answer the door immediately, Gilmore allegedly told the officers he had spilled an ash tray and was picking up the contents – which delayed him answering the door.

Officers said they received permission to look through the area Gilmore was picking up and they allegedly found a clear plastic baggy containing a crystal-like substance.

Gilmore is charged with meth possession.
